Mavis Studio automatically synchronises supported live sources so they can be switched together reliably.
This is especially important for network-based camera sources such as NDI and Mavis Camera. Even when these sources arrive with slightly different delays, Mavis Studio works to align them for switching.
In most cases, this happens automatically and does not need to be configured manually.
Network quality plays an important part. Strong, stable connections usually give the best results. If the network becomes weaker or less stable, latency may increase as the system maintains sync across sources.
In practice, this means slower sources can affect the overall timing of the live system. Mavis Studio will generally keep sources aligned, but poor network conditions may increase delay before picture stability starts to break down.
For the lowest latency and most reliable sync, wired networking is usually best where available.
