This support article describes how to directly setup Mavis Camera to use GV Framelight X as a Mavis C2C destination. To remotely configure Mavis C2C use Mavis Cloud Hub in a browser by visiting hub.mavis.cloud
What is GV Framelight X
Framelight X is Grass Valley’s cloud-native media asset management platform, enabling fast, remote content production and editing. It supports global collaboration, integrates with leading editing tools, automates workflows, and unifies diverse storage systems. Scalable and flexible, it enhances efficiency for broadcasters and media teams across live and post-production workflows.
Connecting to GV Framelight X
- Ensure you have Framelight X included and set as an AMPP service. Sign in to AMPP via your AMPP Platform URL and click on "Asset Management" from the Get Started options to open Framelight X. Select a folder from the left navigation and then right click on the main files viewers. Go to "Media" from the menu and select "Upload File...". Upload a video file and ensure it is processed correctly and added as an asset to Framelight X. This confirms you have everything set in Framelight X to upload media via Mavis C2C.
- Sign in to Mavis Cloud Hub. Using Mavis Camera, create or sign in to your Mavis Cloud Hub account. Open Mavis Camera and tap the "Cloud" button. Select Mavis C2C and follow the instructions to sign in with Apple or use a personal email address.

Generate an AMPP API Key. From the AMPP Get Started options, click on "Platform Tools" then "Identity Management". Select the Applications tab and click on the plus button
at the top right. Complete the pop up form with the following information.
- Name: Mavis C2C
- Location: Cloud
- Type: Camera to Cloud
- Grant Type: ClientCredentials
- Role: scs.worker
- Allowed Scopes: cluster, cluster.readonly, platform, platform.readonly
Click "OK".
Copy the API Key. IMPORTANT: You won't get another opportunity to copy this key.
- Add Framelight X destination details. Using Mavis Camera add GV Framelight X as a Mavis C2C destination. Add the API Key generated in step 3. Add your AMPP Platform URL (this is the URL used in step 1 and is typically <customer_name>.gvampp.com).
- Choose a Location. Select a Folder. This is the location in Framelight X where assets will be uploaded.
- Record. Upload video progressively to GV Framelight X.
