Yes! Mavis Camera supports Open Gate and Open Gate 4K recording on compatible devices.
Open Gate captures a larger image than standard 16:9 video, giving you more flexibility to crop and reframe a single recording for different aspect ratios in post-production.
Open Gate is included in the Film Kit one-time purchase and the Yearly Pass.
To select an Open Gate resolution:
- Open Settings → Camera & Mic.
- Under Video Format, tap Resolution.
- Select Open Gate or Open Gate 4K, where available.
The available options depend on your device, selected lens and other camera settings, including frame rate.
