Important - Streaming from Mavis Camera requires a free Mavis Cloud Hub account.
This support article describes how to directly setup Mavis Camera to stream to Facebook. To remotely configure live streaming use Mavis Cloud Hub in a browser by visiting hub.mavis.cloud
Streaming live to Facebook from Mavis Camera is easy. Here's how you do it:
- Ensure your Facebook account meets the minimum requirements. To stream on Facebook your account must be at least 60 days old, your Page or professional profile must have at least 100 followers and to go live from a Page, you need to have Facebook access or task access to create content.
- Sign in to your Facebook account. Sign in to Facebook, then go to facebook.com/live/create. Click "Choose where to post". Choose where you want to post your live broadcast then click "Go live"
- Enable persistent stream key (optional). Enable "Persistent stream key" under "Advanced settings". This allows the stream key be used again after the live stream has ended.
- Sign in to Mavis Cloud Hub. Using Mavis Camera, create or sign in to your Mavis Cloud Hub account. Open Mavis Camera and tap the "Cloud" button. Select Streaming and follow the instructions to sign in with Apple or use a personal email address.
- Setup your live Facebook stream. Write a description and title for your live stream from Add post details section.
- Copy your stream key.
- Add stream destination details. Using Mavis Camera select Facebook as a new streaming destination. Add the stream key from step 6 and give the destination a description. Tap save on the top right.
- Go Live with Mavis Camera. Tap 'Start Streaming' from the "Cloud" button to send your live camera feed to Facebook.
Remember - Once you've signed into to your Mavis Cloud Hub account on Mavis Camera, you can remotely setup your streaming destinations from a web browser using hub.mavis.cloud. This might make it easier to copy/paste the Facebook stream key.
