The multiview is the main working area of Mavis Studio. It is where sources are viewed, selected, and cut.
By default, Program and Preview appear at the top of the multiview with source tiles shown underneath. The orientation of Program and Preview can be swapped in source assign control. The source tiles can be camera inputs, players, colours, layouts, graphics, or other sources from the video matrix.
To use the multiview, first tap Program or Preview. This selects where the next source will go. Then tap one of the source tiles underneath.
If Program is selected, tapping a source cuts it straight to Program. If Preview is selected, tapping a source loads it into Preview instead.
This makes the multiview interactive. It is not just for monitoring. It is the main way to select and switch sources.
Each source tile also includes controls in its top corners. The top-left control is used to choose which source is assigned to that tile. The top-right control is used to configure that source.
The multiview uses tally to show what is live. A red border shows a source that is on Program. A green border shows a source that is on Preview.
Mavis Studio also has the concept of multiview banks. It includes Bank A and Bank B, which allows more source tiles to be available without overcrowding the screen. This gives quick access to a larger number of sources while keeping the multiview clear and touch-friendly.
