The general setting menu is located at the top left, and the audio settings menu is located at the top right, of both the DOP and fullscreen interfaces. Within these menus are settings and controls that would normally be changed at the beginning of filming session and they cannot be changed while recording.
Most of the settings menus use standard iOS user interface components so if you are already familiar with iOS you will find them easy to use. However, there are some specific controls that are custom designed specifically for Pro Camera. The sections below do not cover every setting they focus on the custom user interface components with which users may not be familiar.
Settings menu
The main settings menu is used mostly to navigate to other sub-menus; however, it does include some specific controls. The first item within the menu is the Recording Format. Use this control to select a recording format preset. To edit a preset, first select it, then tap Edit format. Within the main settings menu you can also toggle Save to Photos. When active, Save to Photos attempts to save recordings to the device's Photos Library. If it is inactive, recordings will be saved to the internal Pro Camera Files Store.
Edit recording format
Editing a recording format consists of selecting a resolution, frame rate and bit rate.
Viewfinder
The viewfinder submenu allows you to access a number of customisation and framing controls related to the viewfinder. It also includes a preview of the viewfinder framing so you can easily see the result of the hardware and aspect framing controls.
Audio Settings menu
The audio settings menu allows you to select the audio input source and whether the selected source can be monitored with headphones. If iPhone Microphone is selected as the input source you can also select which internal mic and polar pattern is used.
Note - some controls shown below may not be available as they are dependant on having external hardware connected to the iPhone.
