When a Show is open, the main working view in Mavis Studio is built around the multiview. This is the centre of the interface and the place where sources are viewed, selected, and switched.
At the top of the multiview are Program and Preview. These are the main live switching views. Underneath them are the source tiles used throughout the Show.
The left-hand side of the interface contains the main navigation. The Home panel is where a Show is run. This is where sources are switched, transitions are performed, graphics are overlaid, and outputs such as recording and streaming are started.
The Audio panel is where audio is set up and adjusted. When the Audio panel is opened, Mavis Studio first shows a more compact audio view. Tapping the expand arrow (bottom left) opens the full audio mixer, which is used for detailed setup and adjustment.
Along the bottom of the Home panel are the main live production controls. These include concise audio controls, recording and streaming controls, the wheel, transition controls, the Graphics button, the faux T-bar, and source selection controls.
The multiview also uses Bank A and Bank B, allowing more sources to be available without overcrowding the screen.
At the top left of the interface are the main app-level controls, including Settings and the current Show menu. At the bottom left is the Lock button, which can be used to protect parts of the interface from accidental changes during production.
A good way to think about the interface is this: the Home panel is where the Show is run, while other areas such as Audio are where parts of the Show are prepared and managed.
