Mavis Studio includes a built-in audio mixer that allows live sources, media playback, and the final output to be controlled in one place.
Audio is mixed inside the Show and sent to the main output through the Master channel. This means audio settings in Mavis Studio affect the actual output of the production, including recording, streaming, and other outputs.
It is important to understand the difference between monitoring and the Master output.
If the iPad speakers are too loud, use the physical volume buttons on the iPad. That changes only the monitoring level.
If the Master audio control inside Mavis Studio is turned down or muted, that changes the output of the Show itself. In other words, it does not just make the iPad quieter. It changes the actual audio being sent out of Mavis Studio.
For most productions, the audio desk is used to set levels before going live. During the Show, the compact audio controls on the Home screen make it easier to manage audio quickly without opening the full mixer.
Mavis Studio is designed so audio can be set up in detail, then controlled more simply during production
