Once a Show is ready, the next step is deciding where it should go.
The simplest options are recording and streaming. Both of these use Program, which means they follow the live output of the Show.
To record, tap the Record button on the Home screen and choose Start Recording. This saves the Program output directly to the iPad.
To stream, tap the Stream button and open the stream settings. Choose a destination, enter the required stream details, and then start streaming. The stream also follows Program.
Mavis Studio can also send video to local outputs such as NDI and HDMI.
These outputs are different from recording and streaming because they are assignable. Instead of always following Program, they can send any selected source from the video matrix.
This means a Show might be recorded and streamed from Program, while an NDI or HDMI output is used for something else locally, such as a monitor feed, a Media Player, or a Layout.
This keeps the first setup simple while still making it easy to expand later.
