Mavis Studio supports camera sources that can be brought into a Show and used like any other source.
Camera sources appear as camera tiles in the multiview. To connect one, tap the Source button on a camera tile and choose the connection type.
Mavis Studio supports three camera source types: Mavis Camera, NDI, and Mavis Cloud Hub.
Mavis Camera allows an iPhone running Mavis Camera to send video and audio directly into Mavis Studio. Before it can connect, the iPhone must be placed into Mavis Studio mode inside Mavis Camera.
NDI allows Mavis Studio to receive video and audio from compatible devices on the local network. Nearby NDI sources can be discovered from the camera source settings and assigned to a camera source.
Mavis Cloud Hub allows compatible paired devices to appear as camera sources through a Mavis account. This is useful when bringing in devices that are remote as well as local.
Once connected, a camera source can be cut to Program, loaded into Preview, or used inside a Layout.
Camera source performance depends on network quality. Stronger and more stable connections usually give the best results. Wired networking is generally the most reliable option, especially for the iPad itself.
Mavis Studio automatically handles sync across supported camera sources, so timing is usually managed for you. In weaker network conditions, latency may increase and stability may be reduced.
