Mavis Studio can send an NDI output across the local network.
From a Mavis Studio point of view, NDI send is an output. The source sent to that output can be selected from the video matrix, which means it is not limited to Program.
This makes NDI output flexible. It can be used to send Program, a Layout, a Media Player, a clean source, or another selected source to another local device.
For example, an NDI output might be sent to a local NDI recorder, a monitor system, or another NDI-compatible production tool.
To configure NDI output, open Outputs, select the NDI output, and then choose the source to send.
In Mavis Studio, NDI send uses NDI HX3. This provides a practical balance of quality and efficiency for local network output.
As with NDI receive, performance depends on the network. A strong and stable local network will give the best results. If the network is congested or unstable, latency and reliability may be affected.
NDI send is part of the NDI-enabled version of Mavis Studio.
