Mavis Studio includes advanced NDI settings for users who need more control over how NDI behaves on the network.
These settings are available in the main Settings menu. Advanced NDI settings include:
- Device name
- Discovery server
- Send groups
- Receive groups
- Send transport settings
- Receive transport settings
These settings are mainly intended for more technical workflows, especially where NDI devices need to be organised in a more controlled network environment.
The device name controls how Mavis Studio appears to other NDI devices on the network.
A discovery server can be used in more advanced NDI setups where discovery is managed centrally rather than relying only on local network discovery.
Send groups and receive groups can be used to control which NDI devices can see and connect to each other.
Transport settings allow more control over how NDI send and receive traffic behaves on the network. These are useful in managed or specialised network setups where the default behaviour may not be ideal.
For most users, the default settings will be the right choice. Advanced settings are there for workflows that need them, rather than as part of normal setup.
